The English Route finds its origins on the medieval times when pilgrims from the islands and other parts of northern Europe use this route to enter the Iberian Peninsula to visit Santiago. Is true that nowadays is not one of the most popular routes, but that translates in less crowded accommodations and a peaceful journey.
The route can be started in two different points, Coruña and El Ferrol, two different ways that got together in the town of Bruma. Starting from Coruña, the route is 78 km, and from Ferrol 110 km. Along the English Way, you will be able to enjoy nature and landscapes, and archeological, artistic and monumental heritage. You can also visit Ferrol and La Coruña ports, Hercules’s Tower (La Coruña), Santiago de Compostela Cathedral... And many other locations along the way that are worth a visit.
