If you want to discover some of the most magical routes to Santiago, you should meet the Sanabrese Way, a scenic route that connects with the Silver Route, in the province of Zamora. The Sanabrese Wayruns through ancient Roman roads and is part of the itinerary used by the Galician harvesters who travelled to work in Castilla.
The way starts in the village of Moreruela, where you will find the first Cirstencian monastery of the country, known in its origins as "Santiago de Moreruela" and nowadays as "Granja de Moreruela". Following the route, you will arrive in Galicia through Verin, a longer route than the common one, but especially recommended for cycling, as the route goes through paved roads.
Once in Galicia, you will be amazed by the richness of Ourense, A coruña, Pontevedra and of course, Santiago de Compostela.
