And we keep discovering places of the French Way, this time located in La Rioja we found the municipality of Santo Domingo de la Calzada, lying next to the Oja River and in the foothills of the Sierra de la Culebra mountains. The town gets its name thanks to the Saint with the same name, who is considered the founding father of the village. During his life, he built a hospital, a hotel and used to offer the pilgrims refuge and care.
Nowadays, the town is famous for its wines and gastronomy, and the architectural monuments as its Cathedral or the Pilgrim's Hospital.
